Finally they're here -- Digital Auto Books!!

Using your library card, you can now download audio books to your computer and than transfer them to a MP3 player, or burn selected titles onto a cd.

How does it work?  At your computer, you type in the overdrive website  http://overdrive.mlcstl.org to get the free media software.  This software allows you to check out and download your books.  You can than transfer the audio book to a MP3 player or burn some selected titles to a cd for your enjoyment.

The first time that you check out materials, you will be provided with instructions on how to download the software that you need.  The loan period is 14 days.  A title may be downloaded three times to three different devices, during that time period.  Five audio books may be checked out at a time.  They will check back in automatically at the end of the loan period.
